The Staff was Excellent as Always. The bed was a dream as we're the pillows. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for repairs but they were using a ballroom upstairs as dining room and the ladies did an amazing job under the circumstances. The gentlemen who helped us to our room went beyond helping us get other things we needed in room. Lounge was lovely. as was the gentleman playing the music and the staff Was Great and they handled the busy evening with flying colors .The downfall was It was our anniversary and we requested a room with a view which did not happen, unfortunately the room had mold in the bathroom and the filter really could use a good a good cleaning out. However, we will continue to stay at the George Washington whenever we are in town

I loved everything about the hotel. The spa was absolutely the BEST. Our esthetician Rhiannon and our massage therapist Ciara were both AMAZING. The best facial and massage I've ever had (and I'm a massage and facial snob)

The George Washington Hotel is the place to stay when you’re in Winchester as it’s smack in the middle of the historic district. The Highlights: 1. The rooms are large, comfortable, and affordable. 2. They have fantastic bar and dining options with a wide range of offerings. 3. They have a spa, offering massages and facials. 4. The indoor pool is designed to look like a Roman bath and is large enough to swim laps in. 5. They have a great fitness center. 6. They do have onsite parking, but they will automatically charge you for parking. The lot is very small, so I parked in the garage next door and was refunded the money.

The staff is always friendly, professional and respectful. The rooms are immaculately organized and clean. The overall atmosphere is great! I also like that it is close to many chops and restaurants that are within walking distance from the hotel.

We stayed at the George Washington Hotel while in Winchester for a family wedding. We loved the hotel--it has an unbeatable location. We walked over to the pedestrian mall a couple of times and spent part of one morning looking at the homes in the historic district. Could not have been nicer, and we didn't have to move the car at all. In the evening, the lobby bar was very comfortable. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails and the live entertainment. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. And, I'd agree with others, the shower was outstanding. The only problem we encountered during our stay was that the AC did not seem to be working in our room. We would have liked the room to be a bit cooler overnight, but it was fine.

I experienced a great stay here. The room and location of the hotel was perfect. It's in walking distance of anything you may want to do in downtown Winchester. The staff was courteous and friendly.

This is a lovely hotel and I am sure we will be back for another stay. We love staying at historic places and this fit the bill. The George Washington is in close proximity to the downtown walking area with places to eat and drink. Our room was spacious and bed was comfortable.

The GW has a style that some may try to copy, but that is almost impossible to replicate. They have an outstanding front desk staff that does a great job on telling you about the layout of the hotel and all the places to eat around the hotel. Check-in and out are fast. The first floor of the hotel to include the entranceway, reception area and front desk, and bar are all intelligently put together to create a regal style and it is just beautifully done! Do not miss taking some time at the bar, it is pretty amazing. The rooms are very good sized and a lot of storage areas too. The bed is perfectly super soft and absolutely perfect for a good night's sleep. A nice shower with good water pressure. Parking is paid per night and a very good deal too! Look forward to the next stay at the GW!

Historic, characterful hotel with 21 st century features. Amazing staff, brilliant location and easy parking. From here you are within easy walking distance of great bars, restaurants and museums. Rooms were modern, well maintained and spacious. All areas were spotless.
